Here's what was inside the Royal wedding gift bags

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding, which was held at St. George’s Chapel on May 19, had 2,640 members of the public who watched the ceremony from the grounds of Windsor Castle. While the simple fact of being there was enough, there was a surprise for the lucky few who received a proper invitation.

The couple gave away tote bags with a bright blue handle that had the couple’s initials and the date of the wedding on it.

The location of the wedding was also emblazoned on the bag. That was not all, though, as they were filled with gifts including a fridge magnet, branded chocolate, shortbread, and a bottle of Windsor Castle water.

Even though those souvenirs would have been enough, the bags also had the wedding program and a 20% discount voucher at the castle shop, reported the Sunday Express.

Many of those who got the little gift bags took to their social media accounts to share what they had acquired. One of them was Royal photographer James Whatling who posted a picture on Twitter.

He pointed out that it was a "lovely touch" for the guests. In his photo was the wedding programme booklet with the following words on the front:

"The marriage of His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales with Ms. Meghan Markle at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Saturday, 19th May 2018. 12 noon."

In a statement released on the Royal official website on April 10, it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had invited each of the 2,640 guests.

In the statement, some of the names of those invited to the wedding were disclosed, including David Gregory, Amelia Thompson, Saeed Atcha, and Amy Wright.

It was also shared that 200 guests from organizations in which Harry and Markle have a close association with, 100 pupils from local schools, and 500 members of the Royal Household would attend the ceremony.
