Doug Davidson, who is best known for his role as Paul Williams in The Young and the Restless, celebrated 34 years of marriage with his wife, Cindy Davidson.

Nowadays, marriage don't even last half as long as they used to, so being able to reach the 34-year mark with the same woman is a feat. To commemorate the occasion, the actor shared a very special photo with the world on May 27, 2018.

Doug's fans and followers on Instagram were able to see the actor and his wife on their wedding day, in 1984. A much younger Doug can be found grasping Cindy's hand as she holds onto the bouquet, both smiling at the camera.

Throughout his 40-year career on The Young and the Restless, Doug has witnessed his character tie the knot with Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell), Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman), April Stevens (Cynthia Jordan) and Isabella Brana (Eva Longoria).

Wiliams started as a troubled teenager and grew to become Genoa City's main hero thanks to his job as a private investigator. His risky profession led him through many adventures, including saving his beloved Lauren from being buried alive.

The character contributed immensely to the success of the series, especially after the George Rawlins murder mystery, which catapulted the show to the spotlight in 1988.

But unlike the man that he plays on set, Doug is a simple man with simple tastes, who only has eyes for Cindy. She played the role of Rebecca on The Young and the Restless when they met and they quickly fell in love.

Doug and Cindy built a life together, giving birth to a son, Caden, and a daughter, Calyssa. Their relationship seems to be able to resist the passage of time since they still feel the same love for each other that they did in 1984.
