80’s actress Brigitte Nielsen is 54 years old but has revealed that she is expecting her fifth child. She recently shared a photo of her growing baby bump.


The Danish actress shares the soon-to-be-born baby with her current husband, Mattia Dessi, who she tied the knot with in 2006.

Nielsen recently shared a photo of herself caressing her belly on her Instagram with the caption, ‘Family getting bigger.’

Followers of the star offered their congratulatory messages on the comments and some fans also shared their story with the star.

One fan, Linda Malanowski, wrote, ‘That’s awesome!!! Congrats!!! I had my 2nd child at 45. I’m now 50 with a 12 and 5-year-old. Biggest blessing in my life!!!’


The new baby will be Nielsen’s fifth child. She already has four adult sons but this will be her first child with Dessi.

The actress is most famous for her performance in Rocky IV and Cobra together with Sylvester Stallone, Nielsen’s former husband who she married in 1985. They were divorced in 1987.

She also had quite a successful career in modeling. In fact, she appeared in Playboy magazine a few times.

Nielsen is not the only celebrity who became pregnant a bit later in life. Some stars like Janet Jackson and Rachel Weisz are included in the list, as revealed by BBC


In April 2018, Weisz revealed that she was pregnant at the age of 48. As for Jackson, she gave birth for the first time in 2017 at the age of 50. She named her son Eissa Al Mana.

Sen. Tammy Duckworth, a Democrat from Illinois, also delivered a healthy baby. She is 50 years old as well. Talking about her pregnancy to ABC News, she said, “The early part of my career, which was also, [like] for most women, your twenties and early thirties, your prime fertility years, were also my career-building years.”
