EJ Johnson rocks tight dress and thigh-high boots after his father was dragged over birthday tribute

Magic Johnson’s name will forever have a place in the history of NBA, but perhaps more attention is going to his openly gay son. The former basketballer has proudly supported his son on his pursuit for authenticity, but that doesn’t always sit well with some people. He was recently bashed for this.

Legendary basketball player, Magic Johnson shared two images to celebrate his son, EJ. The first image was of EJ as a little boy which Magic cautioned; “Happy birthday to my amazing son @ejjohnson_ who is helping change the world. I am so proud of the person you have become. Continue to be your best self and walk in authenticity, passion, and ambition. I love you!” The comments that followed this post were quite positive, with most fans complimenting his parenting.

The second post was taken as Magic and his wife were leaving for the celebration of their son’s 26th birthday. Birthday boy, who is known for cross-dressing was in fish nets and an off-white blazer. He completed his outfit with a pair of white stilettos and a fully made-up face. Now, this picture didn’t settle well with some of Magic’s fans, and they wondered loudly how he could support EJ.

Fans went all out; Commenter 1: “I have no room to judge but how can a man let his son turn into this? If they actually believed in god and Jesus like the publicize then they would’ve set their son on the right path.”

Commenter 2: “I know you love ur kid but, if he was born a man he should be a man. You should not change that. It’s not right. I wish him a happy birthday though.”

While some felt the dad was wrong for not leading his son in the right direction, others commended him for his support.

Magic and his wife Cookie Johnson had conflicting reactions to their son’s coming out. While Cookie was understanding and embracing from the get-go, Magic had trouble with it. He was in denial first then attempted to change EJ, but he realized that it wasn’t going to happen. As he told CNN, the basketballer decided to support his son indefinitely.

Magic has been supportive of EJ since then.
