'Radar Online': Phaedra Parks’ sons haven’t seen incarcerated father in two years

Phaedra Parks’ ex-husband, Apollo Nida, is serving a long sentence for fraud, but the reality star has not been to see him in 2 years. Still, they get to talk every day according to a source, so that the kids can stay in touch with their father.

Apollo Nida, Phaedra Parks’ ex-husband was jailed for eight years after he was found guilty of a wire fraud. He will be released in August 2020, and in the meantime has had to call every day to talk to his sons Ayden, 8, and Dylan, 5. According to a Radar online source, the kids “cried for three days” when they last went to see their dad. For this reason, Phaedra chooses not to take them back to the facility.

“Phaedra has not gone to see Apollo in like two years. The kids rarely see Apollo – it is just too hard on them. Phaedra does not want to put them through that,” the insider said. “Apollo calls Phaedra every day or every other day to speak to the boys. It is 100 percent all about the kids at this point. If the boys have seen their father, it was not with Phaedra.”

Fortunately for Nida, he is not completely alone behind bars, as he has been engaged to Sherien Almufti since 2016. Reports have it that Nida started seeing Almufti while he was still with Parks. “Phaedra was aware Apollo was cheating on her. Phaedra was already separating from Apollo, but they were trying to figure things out. That is why she did not care when he went to jail. He got caught in so many lies and she was over it.”

After Apollo was incarcerated, he delayed divorce proceedings as much as he could, but everything was finalized in 2017. There is nothing between them anymore apart from their two kids.
