Hospice nurse sings emotional gospel hymn to dying patient
When this hospice worker recognized the woman in the bed, he knew just what he could do to make her day.
While there are plenty of stories of hospice workers abusing their elderly patients when no one else is around, the majority of these people are kind and gentle.
Josh Woodward is one of the angels working in hospice care.
Woodward works at the Austinburg Nursing & Rehab Center in Austinburg, Ohio. There he came across a patient named Mary Redmond.
It didn't take long for Woodward to recognize her face, and quickly realized that she was the woman who taught him how to sing and play the piano when he was 9 years old.
In order to thank her for everything that she had done for him as a child, he thought of a wonderful repayment for her, and he started to sing.
Woodward chose to sing the Biblical hymn How Great Art Thou.
Redmond's daughter-in-law, Marti Redmond, filmed the entire encounter, and called him an angel for the wonderful work he does.
