Prince William to visit a site in Jordan that 4-year-old Kate Middleton went to
The itinerary of Prince William’s upcoming trip to Israel includes a special visit to the same historic site in Jerash that a young Kate Middleton had once visited with her father.
Prince William is about to make history by being the first member of the royal family to visit Israel on behalf of the monarchy and the UK Government, as published by the official website of the royal family.
According to the official website of the Kensington Palace, the Duke of Cambridge will meet important leaders of Israel in various prominent territories of the country, and meet common people from different walks of life.
The Prince's trip is scheduled from June 24 until June 28.
On the second day of the tour, Prince William will stop by at one of Jordan’s most renowned and historically rich sites in Jerash. The area is of archaeological significance as a flourishing Roman city in the first century.
The site holds a special place in the heart of Duchess Kate Middleton, as she had traveled there with her father Michael Middleton and her younger sister Pippa at the age of 4.
A photo of the young Middleton standing next to her father at the site, while her little sister sat on his lap, was released by the Kensington Palace at the time of the royal wedding of Middleton and Prince William.

However, Prince William’s visit to Jerash has a different mission.
The Duke is scheduled to interact with several children who are a part of the Makani program, under which young Syrian refugees and local children of Jordan are given free education and support.
