Sarah Ferguson sends heartfelt message to ex-husband Prince Andrew on recent promotion

Duchess of York, Sarah, only had the nicest things to say about her former husband, Prince Andrew, who was recently promoted as Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards.

Sarah Ferguson took to Instagram to share a photo of her ex-husband and her daughters at the annual Trooping of Colour celebrations on June 9, 2018.

The Duchess of York remains on great terms with her former husband. It was proved again when she shared of the photo on social media and said she was proud of him.

Prince Andrew and his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were with the rest of the Royal family at the annual celebrations on the second Saturday of the month.

Sarah said she was not only proud of her daughters but also her ex-husband.

He was taking part at the event for the first time since being promoted as Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards.

Fans were happy to see Sarah and Andrew’s close relationship. Some expressed their thoughts in the comments section on Instagram.

A Royal fan wrote, ‘Love how supportive you are of him and the royal family. You seem so down to earth!’ Another user said that the two were ‘wonderful.’

Princess Eugenie, too, posted a photo on her Instagram account to congratulate her father. She shared a photo of him posing inside the palace in his Grenadier Guards uniform.

She wrote, ‘A wonderful and proud day celebrating Her Majesty’s birthday and @hrhthedukeofyork for his first Trooping the Colour as Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards.’

Sarah and Andrew parted ways with their divorce in 1996, but have remained on great terms. They have been co-parenting their children and seeing each other regularly.

The former couple was seen together at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19. However, they were sitting apart during the ceremony.

The two will again make a public appearance together for the wedding of their daughter Eugenie, who is set to marry her fiancé, Jack, on October 12.

The palace announced the Princess’ engagement in January this year.
