The woman knew exactly how to deliver the news to her husband. While in the kitchen, she asked him to check on what was cooking in the oven.
He bent down to open it and saw a few buns. Instantly, he realized that his wife was pregnant. He turns around to her and asks her with a big grin if she was pregnant.
She tells him that that was the reason she could not lose weight. She then reveals that she is 19 weeks into her pregnancy and that they would be having a boy who was due in February.
The man just lifts up his shirt and weeps into it turning it into a beautiful moment.
The video has garnered over 11 million views on YouTube and thousands of positive comments. Dana was overwhelmed with the love and support she received.
People reported that the couple received the happy news after 17 years of infertility. They had the baby via C-section on October 20, 2015.
Kaleb Arkell Graves was born 16 weeks premature. Doctors warned that the pregnancy had caused nearly fatal high blood pressure and by carrying the baby any longer she would be risking her life.
The Virginia woman refused to go on with the delivery until the baby reached a point where he would have the best chance of survival. Born at 24 weeks, little Kaleb could be taken care of in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Dana’s husband, Arkel Graves, said that it was “the most selfless thing I have ever seen somebody do.”
The mother and the child were in critical condition following the delivery. On the second day, the doctors told her that she should hold him and say her goodbyes because he was not going to make it through the night.
However, the little one turned out to be a fighter. He made it through that night and spent about 143 days in the NICU.
He had to undergo a heart surgery, the fluid had been drained from around his brain, and he was intubated for months due to chronic lung disease.
For Dana, his first cry was like music. She knows her miracle baby did well to overcome all the obstacles at a young age.
