A month after her royal wedding with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle joined her husband and Queen Elizabeth on the first day of the prestegious horse racing event. The couple took a carriage ride to the course with Prince Edward and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, after having lunch with the Queen.

As the carriage made an enttrance at the parade ring behind the main grandstand, attendees and racegoers were given a closer look at Meghan, 36, who donned a white ensemble by her favorite designer Givenchy. She accessorized her elegant dress with a white hat with black detailing created by Philip Treacy.

Beside the beautiful Duchess of Sussex was her husband Harry, 33, who looked dapper in his traditional tailcoat and top hat. He was seen donning the same suit for the wedding of his cousin Celia McCorquodale last Saturday.

As they walked across the pristine lawn, Meghan held on to Harry's arm. Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, met the couple before joining the Queen at the royal box to watch the first race.

Meghan and Harry ended their first appearance together at the Royal Ascot by handing over the trophy for the St. James' Palace Stakes to the winner, one of Britain's most popular jockeys, Frankie Dettori.

Several members of the royal family gathered in the Parade Ring to watch the final race, which featured one of the Queen's favorite horses named Fabricate. However, the horse failed to make any of top positions in the Wolferton Stakes.

The Queen, who has always been passionate about horses, brings members of the royal family with her on each of the five days of the iconic horse race event.
