Malia Obama stuns in high-waisted jeans, stepping out with male friend

It’s summer, and Malia Obama is showing some skin. She’s also enjoying her break in New York accompanied by a male pal. See photos of her latest outing where she rocks a crop top and high-waist jeans.

Strolling the streets of Greenwich Village, the 19-year-old dared to bare some skin wearing a grey cropped top and high-waist jeans. She matched the casual ensemble with a pair of white sneakers and rocked the whole look. Joining her was a male friend who sported a pair of sunglasses while wearing black shorts and a striped button-up shirt. They appeared to be enjoying each other’s company as they were also photographed sharing a laugh

Malia allowed her long hair to flow effortlessly as the wind blew wisps of it away from her face. This is in contrast to her previous look where she was seen stepping out in long braids. At the time, she was wearing a black cropped top, leggings and a denim jacket. She styled her hair in shoulder-length box braids, half of which was up and the half let loose. She was toting a water bottle leading many to assume she was on her way to the gym.

With summer in motion, it’s no surprise the Harvard student is taking the time to enjoy her break in the Big Apple where she took a summer internship at the Weinstein Company last year. No doubt, she’s making every minute count before she returns to Massachusetts in the fall as a sophomore.

It’s also quite possible Malia is trying to stay away from Washington, D.C. as her mother Michelle Obama previously revealed her room in their post-White House home is far from ideal. During the former first lady’s appearance on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ in February, she revealed her eldest daughter’s room was “in the attic somewhere,” adding,

“She’s away at college — you don’t waste rooms on college kids.”

Meanwhile, Michelle reveals her younger daughter Sasha's room is practically a suite.

“Sasha actually killed in this house — she has this two-room suite, it’s all decked out. She’s got a living room area and bedroom. She designed it.”
