Katharine McPhee shows off massive ring after engagement bombshell

The 34-year-old actress and singer, Katherine McPhee, announced her engagement earlier this week and showed off the huge sparkler.

She first shared the news on Instagram when showcasing a segment of her conversation with her good friend, Jared Eng, founder of Just Jared.

McPhee told Jared that her fiance, David Foster, proposed on a mountaintop in Italy, and joked that 'thankfully he didn't push [her] off the cliff.'

Later that day, she shared a photo that showed her relaxing on a yacht with her engagement ring clear for all to see.

She wrote in the caption that she prefers this photo. McPhee used the heart, Italy, soccer, ring and pasta emoji's, conveying that she was having a wonderful vacation.

As reported by Daily Mail, the couple was dining at a restaurant, situated on the mountainous Capri Island, when Foster proposed.

They have been dating for more than a year and made headlines back in May 2017 when they arrived at the Met Gala together.

Since then, the duo hasn't shied away from public displays of affection. TMZ reported that McPhee playfully grabbed Foster's buttocks during a date night last year!

This will be Foster's fifth marriage and McPhee's second. She was married to Nick Cokas for eight years and the couple divorced in 2016.

As reported by Mirror, Foster was married to B.J Cook during the seventies. Rebecca Dyer was his wife from 1982 until 1986.

He then tied the knot with Linda Thompson in the early nineties but divorced after fourteen years of marriage. More recently he exchanged vows with Yolanda Hadid.

The couple parted ways in 2015 after four years. Foster has five children and seven grandchildren.
