MC Lyte melts hearts in sweet pic, getting cozy with Marine Corps veteran husband
The couple tied the knot in August 2017, and have seemed completely loved up and happy with one another ever since they said their "I do's."
MC Lyte made a name for herself as a rapper during the late 1980's, and was a popular artist all throughout the 1990's. Lyte is now 47, but she finally got her happily ever after with a Marine Corp veteran and entrepreneur John Wyche almost a year ago.
The couple decided on a destination wedding, getting married on a beach in Jamaica on Montego Bay, with just a small gathering of family and friends in attendance to witness the ceremony.
Now, with just a month to their 1-year wedding anniversary, the couple look to be just as in love as the day she waltzed down the aisle to a reggae Congo band.
In April of this year, Lyte took to Instagram to share a selfie with Wyche, in which she was standing behind him for the shot and the couple were grinning happily at the camera.
"Me and my BOO. He covers me. #love," she wrote in her caption.

The couple first met on Match.com just months after announcing at the Wealth Experience conference in Miami that she had every intention of finding a husband.
After they met, their relationship developed quickly, and she even recounted to Essence the moment she knew she had met her husband.
“One day when we’re talking and I looked into his eyes, it was so much honesty and truth in his eyes,” she said. “My biggest thing with dating was to be vulnerable. And with him, I could totally let go and be myself.”
Her husband shared similar sentiments about his wife.
“It’s incredible so many people came out to support our union. We are starting out with a strong foundation. A few months into getting to know Lana, I knew I wanted this woman as my wife,” he told Essence.
