David Foster breaks silence on his engagement to Katharine McPhee

The 68-year-old musician and record producer, David Foster, revealed details about his engagement to 34-year-old actress Katherine McPhee.

McPhee is most famously known as Paige Dineen from the action television series Scorpion. She initially announced the engagement last week in an Instagram post.

On Thursday, Foster talked to Natalie Morales and Kit Hoover from Access Live about proposing to Katherine and said: "We're all great, we're all happy. [...] It seems like its interesting news to people, so we're just gonna roll with it."

When asked if there was a spark when he met McPhee in 2006 on American Idol, he said "Yes," and changed the topic to his upcoming tour. To learn more, follow our Twitter page, AmoMama USA.

Tickets for his tour are available from major ticket outlets, as well as directly from his website. His first show will be on August 3 at The Colosseum in Canada, followed by Milwaukee on August 4.

The last concert will be on August 13 at the Newmark Theatre in Portland and tickets are selling fast.

The couple first stepped out together in public at the Met Gala back in May, after dating for nearly a year. In his interview with Access Live, he said the Met was enjoyable but not really his scene.

As reported by Daily Mail, this will be Foster's fifth marriage and McPhee's second. She exchanged vows with Nick Cokas in 2008.

They split up two years ago after she cheated with Michael Morris, a director she worked on for Smash and who is also known for Kingdom and Thirteen Reasons Why.

Foster was married to B.J Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson, and most recently, Yolanda Hadid, and has five adult children.

Fans of McPhee can look forward to her upcoming projects. Intensive Care and Louisiana Caviar will be released later this year.
