Pierce Brosnan celebrates important anniversary with wife Keely Shaye Smith

Actor Pierce Brosnan took to Instagram to express his joy over celebrating a special anniversary with his wife, Keely Shaye Smith.

The longtime married couple just celebrated their 25th anniversary, and Brosnan took the opportunity to pen a simple but sweet message to his wife on social media.

Along with a sweet photo of the pair, Brosnan wrote on his Instagram post, ‘Thank you for the love my love of these past 25 years, onwards. [sic]’

Even though the Brosnan and his wife tied the knot in August 2001 in Ireland, they started dating eight years before their wedding, which made this year their 25th anniversary.

This summer, the couple will be celebrating their 17th wedding anniversary.

It has been a fruitful relationship between Brosnan and Smith. Together, they share two sons: 21-year-old Dylan and 17-year-old Paris.

Brosnan and Smith are among the few couples in Hollywood whose relationship have remained strong over the years.

Up until now, they remain affectionate towards one another, and they are not shy in sharing the kind of relationship they have with the world.

He revealed the secret to their happy and lasting marriage. Talking to People in the past, Brosnan said the key is spending some quality time together.

At the time, he said, “My wife and I took a short road trip up to Santa Barbara — we were going for a romantic weekend and to look at houses and drink great wine. We didn’t listen to any music, but we just listened to the sounds of each other’s voices and sorted out the world.”

Brosnan met Smith following the death of his first wife, Cassandra Harris, due to cancer in 1991. Brosnan and Harris were married in 1980.
