Prince George is a mini copy of Prince William from 33 years ago
The image was released in celebration of Prince George’s birthday, and it features the eldest son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looking incredibly similar to his father at his age.
On July 22, 2018, Kensington Palace shared a snapshot on its official Instagram account that stole many hearts. It showed 5-year-old Prince George sporting a lovely smile during his younger brother Louis’ christening on July 9.
‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George to mark his fifth birthday – thank you everyone for your lovely messages,’ reads the caption of the portrait taken by Matt Porteus.
In the photo, George is wearing a button-down shirt with blue trim and navy blue shorts, and if the face is not enough to remind you of Prince William as a child, Harper’s Bazaar shared a picture of him wearing a nearly identical outfit.
The 34-year-old royal used a look very similar in 1984 for the baptism of his brother Harry and reprised the look during a family trip to Italy in 1985. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa

This was not the first time that the father-son duo used the same look since in 2015 Prince George wore an outfit very similar to the one his father wore in 1984 when he visited his newborn brother in St. Mary's Hospital.

George was born on July 22, 2013, also at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, like most recent members of the Royal Family.
Despite his young age, he has become one of the public’s most loved royals for his sympathy and irresistible smile.
