Mary J. Blige, 47, flaunts enviable body in yellow swimsuit while enjoying the sea in new video

The American singer, songwriter, rapper and actress has always been a hard worker, adn doesn't necessarily take much time off in between working on her music and filming projects.

Mary J Blige is widely considered to be the Queen of hip hop soul, and it's certainly a well deserved title. In her career so far, she has released 13 studio albums, 83 singles, and has appeared in 35 films as well.

But she recently decided she needed a break, and jetted off to Antigua and Barbuda, from where she shared a video of herself relaxing in the ocean.

She shared the clip to her Instagram account, and chatted to her fans about what she was doing while on her tropical holiday.

Blige didn't offer a caption for the clip, but spoke in the video, explaining that she doesn't swim very well, but "I'm gon' try."

In the clip, she wore a mustard yellow bikini, with a one-strap top and a bottom that tied on either side of her hips. She had her hair done up in long blonde braids, which she had then done up in large braids on either side of her head.

She also had a pair of round sunglasses on, and a pair of large gold hoop earrings. There was nothing but the blue ocean and matching sky could be seen in the background of her clip.

She signed off with: "I love y'all. Wish you was [sic] here with me!"

Before heading off for her tropical getaway, she shared another photo slideshow of herself all dolled up as she would be for a photoshoot or one stage.

In the first image, Blige was sitting on a chair wearing denim shorts, a white tank top covered by a red leather jacket with cutouts in the sleeve and metallic embellishments, matching knee-high footwear, and black sunglasses.

She added several pieces of jewelry to complete the outfit, including big gold hoop earrings and long chunky necklaces.

Thanks to the second picture, her outfit could be seen in full detail. Her shorts were waist-high and her heeled boot had zips and metallic details, and her toes peeping out at the front.

The final photo showed Blige in front of a mirror staring at herself in a tough pose while wearing the same outfit.

Blige performed at the 2018 installment of Essence Fest on ladies night, and absolutely killed it in a pair of yellow shorts, a matching sleeveless zip-up shirt, and even a matching hat. She wore a black tank top under the shirt.

She completed the look with a pair of bright yellow tinted glasses, and bright orange boots.
