Police ask for help identifying suspects in mass shooting that killed 3 and injured 7
Two hooded assailants shot into a large crowd in New Orleans on Saturday evening, killing three. Police are investigating and need the community's assistance.
In a video statement released on Nola, officials asked citizens to come forward and help find more evidence. Mayor LaToya Cantrell shared a statement on Twitter as well.
'There is no place in New Orleans for this kind of violence. I speak for everyone in our City when I say we are disgusted, we are infuriated, & we have had more than enough.'

The incident took place on South Claiborne Avenue. Two individuals approached the daiquiri shop and opened fire with a rifle and handgun. The assailants fled the scene.

Footage from the security cameras in the vicinity will be investigated, and authorities are counting on eyewitnesses to come forward as well.
Police and EMS arrived on the scene, and the victims - five men and two women - were taken to hospital in the vicinity. One victim needed emergency treatment.

Three people - two men and one woman - died at the scene, and their names haven't been released as yet.

They understand that it is a volatile and tragic time for families, but justice can only be served when the community stand together and assist authorities in their investigation.
Another shooting was reported minutes after the incident on South Claiborne Avenue, and officials couldn't confirm if the events were related.
