Shakira shares a photo from the beach and fans call her 'dirty'

The star is promoting her latest hit with Maluma, and for that, she shared an innocent photograph on the beach. The singer was announcing the premiere of Clandestino but there was a detail that stole all attention: her feet.

Recently recovered from the condition that affected her vocal cords and returning to live performances, the 41-year-old Colombian-born is living one of her best moments, but her critics won’t let her catch a break.

On July 24, Shakira took to Instagram to share a promotional shot announcing the upcoming release of her collaboration with Maluma. The image showed the mother-of-two sitting by the sea wearing a swimsuit.

‘Who’s ready for Summer Friday? #Clandestino video is coming just in time for the weekend,’ the mother-of-two captioned the photo. She couldn’t possibly expect what happened later. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa

The post has received more than 1.700.000 likes. But among the over 9.000 comments her followers have written for the publication, many pointed out to the traces of sand on one of the singer’s foot soles.

‘Wash your feet before getting your picture taken’; ‘It looks like she stepped on dog’s poop’; ‘What’s wrong with your foot soles?’ – were some of the negative comments the snapshot garnered.

But Shakira has many die-hard fans that have the diva’s back, and they didn’t doubt to defend her from the ill-intended comments of her detractors.

‘It’s only sand. I guess none of these people have ever been to the beach,’ wrote a user. ‘How stupid. How are her feet supposed to look when she is at the beach?’ wondered somebody else.
