Remembering Jack Bannon, popular actor from 70s and John Travolta's brother-in-law

Jack Bannon passed away at the age of 77 and the cause of deaht is yet to be undisclosed. The actor, who was John Travolta's brother-in-law, was himself the son of two prominent actors,
As reported by Hollywood Reporter, Bannon passed away at his home in Coeur D'Alene in Idaho, where he lived with his wife, Ellen Travolta, since 1995.
The actor appeared on all 114 episodes of Lou Grant, and in preparation for the role, Bannon had actually spent several days observing operations at the Los Angeles Times in order to learn what it was like working in a newsroom.
"It's a job that not as many people would know as much about as they would about reporting. You see reporters, you see them on television. You don't see assistant city editors, generally."

He appeared on a number of other series, such as Judd for the Defense, The Andy Griffith Show, Here's Lucy, The Beverly Hillbillies, Daniel Boone, Mannix, Kojak, and The Rockford Files before landing his role on Lou Grant.
He played Olin in Whatever Happened to Aunt Alice? in 1969, the Captain in Little Big Man in 1970, Ben Keane in Death Warrant in 1990, and Arthur Jamieson alongside brother-in-law Joey Travolta in Da Vinci's War in 1993.

Bannon's mother, Bea Benaderet, received two Emmy nominations during her career for her roles in The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, and starred in Petticoat Junction and Green Acres, and provided the voice of Betty Rubble on The Flintstones.

Bannon is survived by his wife, Ellen, his sister, Maggie, and his two stepchildren, Molly and Tom. Although he was as famous as John Travolta, he still managed to leave his mark in the Hollywood industry.
Recently, Travolta, who starred in the cult-classic Pulp Fiction and The Punisher, suffered a severe blow to his career after his recent movie, Gotti, failed to meet the expectations, and is being considered one of the worst movies of 2018 so far.
