While Lil' Kim has filed for bankruptcy recently, that hasn't stopped her from living her life with her daughter Royal Reign. The proud mom recently shared an adorable photo of Reign rocking long braids on her Instagram story, looking like a young model.

In July, New York Daily News shares how Lil' Kim was in court pleading with a bankruptcy judge to keep her New Jersey mansion as she tries to restructure her debt.

"I remain committed to saving my home and reorganizing my debts. I am aware that if any of the foregoing statements made by me are false, I am subject to punishment."

A representative for the rapper's mortgage company wrote on paperwork that it was pushing for a sale after she missed a $10,155 payment on June 1. The house, according to Rushmore Loan Management, is worth $2.3 million. Her debt on the Alpine estate is at $2,040,014.

The Grammy Award winner filed for Chapter 13 protection in New Jersey last May, after her bank foreclosed on her sprawling spread and the US declared that she owes $1.47 million in back taxes.

Paperwork was obtained by the Daily News, which listed more than a total of 4 million dollars in both secured and unsecured debts.

The platinum-selling rapper is now asking the court to convert the action to Chapter 11, a proceeding commonly used by open-ended businesses. She filed her petition just days before her mansion's scheduled public auction.

According to Kim's filings, the singer is $664,474 behind on her mortgage, and her gross income has dropped significantly in the last couple of years, from $823,659 in 2016 to $398,000 the year after.

Lil' Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Denise Jones, purchased her Jersey mansion in 2002 and had been living there with her 3-year-old daughter Royal Reign. The artist is trying to boost her sales and pay for the debts by creating a new album. She recently released a new single called "Nasty One," and paid DJ Whoo Kid a visit for some support on her upcoming album. Kim has been trying all means to earn more money in the entertainment industry, including shooting a documentary about her relationship with Snoop Dogg and hinting a possible collaboration with Beyonce.
