Bruno Mars shut down gay rumors with a couple photo
After ignoring all the speculations about his love life for years, Bruno Mars finally came clean at this year's Grammy Awards, where he made his first ever official appearance with long-time girlfriend, Jessica Caban.
With over 130 million records sold and seven number 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in just eight years, the "Finesse" singer, Bruno Mars, is a certified superstar. Recently, he won six of all six nominations in the 60th Grammy Awards for "24K Magic," including the big three categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year for "That's What I Like."
Still, he does not roll like most musicians of his caliber usually do and impressively, he maintained a love relationship on the low for the past seven years.
The 32-year-old crooner has been dating 35-year-old model Jessica Caban since 2011, and the couple made their official debut at this year's Grammys.
Caban commemorated her beau's historic night on Instagram, where she posted a photo of her and Mars from the ceremony.
In the picture, the Puerto Rican beauty looked stunning wearing a slinky burnt orange gown, her long black curls falling past her shoulders. She complemented her outfit with a furry wrap that was perfect for the red carpet.
Bruno, on the other hand, rocked a glittery wine-colored jacket over black pants and a white t-shirt.
When Mars, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez, went up the stage to give his acceptance speech for Record of the Year, he gave a sweet shoutout to his girlfriend, thanking her for her support as he said:
"My lady, Jessica, I love you baby. Thank you for being my rock and being on my side throughout this whole process."
Caban, who moved to Bruno's Hollywood Hills mansion one year after they started dating, is also supposed to be the inspiration for the heartbreaking ballad "When I Was Your Man," written during a rocky phase in their relationship.
While is one of the favorite songs of fans, Mars now has difficult singing it, as he revealed to Rolling Stone magazine years ago, saying:
"You’re bringing up all these old emotions again. It’s just like bleeding!"
When asked about Caban and when he was going to make public their relationship, Mars revealed:
"She’s my best friend. My rock. What’s wrong with that? We’re just happy."
That was before the Grammys, and judging by their bright smiles in the photos from that night, finally going out into the spotlight together was a relief for the beautiful couple.
