Fantasia warms hearts with photo & video of look-alike daughter on her 17th birthday
Singer Fantasia Barrino, best known for winning the third season of American Idol, took to Instagram to share photos and videos honoring her daughter’s birthday.
The first post was a boomerang video uploaded on August 7 that portrayed a firework exploding in the dark sky. Even though it didn’t show Zion, the recording was cute for the caption as Fantasia wrote that her “baby” would turn 17 the following day.
She added that it was an early start and wished Zion a happy birthday. The next day, the singer used her social media account again to share a two-media slideshow.
It was a sort of before-and-after post as the first picture displayed Zion as a young girl playing with some keys and a white toy, and the second file was a boomerang video of the girl posing in front of a mirror.

For the caption, Fantasia wrote: “The Game Changer, The Day my Life Changed. Happy Birthday [Zion] I Love You Baby Girl.” Finally, she added that hashtags First Born, Beautiful, and Seventeen.
As soon as Fantasia uploaded that slideshow, her fans and followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. One of them was Instagram user @nsmcrae29, who pointed out that Zion blossomed into a beautiful young woman.
@thelorenashley chimed in and seemed surprised to see how much the girl has changed. After admitting that time went by too fast, she wished Zion a happy birthday.
Fantasia got pregnant when she was 16 years old, while she was in a relationship with ex-boyfriend Brandel Shouse. On August 8, 2001, the girl was born, but the couple broke up soon after that.
At the moment, she is married to businessman Kendall Taylor, to whom she has shared several experiences throughout their time together.
Recently, the singer shared a video of herself minutes before going on a surprise road trip with her “king.” It was clear that Fantasia didn’t know where they went as she asked their destination and Kendall replied with: “none of your business.”
