Even though Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s royal wedding was almost three months ago, actor Tom Hardy addressed his invitation in a recent interview.

In a conversation the Mad Max actor had with Esquire, he briefly talked about his presence in one of the most important events of the year, revealing that the reason Harry invited him was ‘deeply private’ and adding that the Prince was a “legend.”

Tom went to the ceremony next to his wife, Charlotte Riley, only one day after he finished filming Fonzo, the upcoming movie wherein Tom will portray one of the most representative gangsters in history, Al Capone.

It was a very tough schedule as the movie was shot in New Orleans with a 19-hour work frame on a daily basis for six weeks.

No matter how tired or busy Tom could have been, receiving an invitation to a royal wedding happens once in a lifetime, so it is a chance that nobody should miss.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, it is not known exactly how Tom and Harry met. The truth is that the actor became an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust in 2010.

Prince’s Trust is a charity created by Prince Charles aimed to help disadvantaged young people. In September 2017, Tom co-sponsored a campaign with the charity titled Youth Can Do It. Follow our Twitter account @amomama_usa to learn more about the royal family and other celebrities.

Its main goal was to help build the self-esteem in young people. Tom even confessed that the Prince’s Trust was an organization that has always been very close to his heart.

Both men have been spotted together a couple of times. In 2014 and 2016, they talked for a while during the Audi Polo Match at London’s Coworth Park.

Apart from that, they were rumored to have recorded a short cameo together – even Prince William was part of it – for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

However, it was removed from the movie because both princes were too tall, reported Harper’s Bazaar.

One of the most recent times Tom and Harry crossed paths before the latter’s wedding was at the premiere of Dunkirk in London. Maybe one of them would reveal how they met each other in the future.
