Rihanna turns heads in neon blue latex dress after revealing she became 'thicc'
Rihanna dressed up in a neon blue latex outfit in her most recent Instagram post, and it showed off her "thicc" body as she recently called it in an interview with Vogue.
Rihanna has never been one to shy away from the discussion of her weight, and now that she is making history in her recent cover of the September 2018 issue of British Vogue, she made sure to discuss it during her cover interview.
Speaking to editor-in-chief Edward Enninful about her curves that make other women jealous, she politely said that there was nothing to be jealous about because her weight fluctuates.
During one point of the conversation, Enninful asks Rihanna how it feels like to be someone that other women "fancy". According to the singer, she is the wrong person to ask.
"Okay, you're asking the wrong person. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm 'thicc' now. I don't know. I'm about to get back into the gym and stuff, and I hope I don't lose my butt or my hips or all of my thighs. I'll lose some, but not all. And I think of my boobs, like, 'Imma lose everything, everything goes!' But, you know, it comes with a price. You want to have a butt, then you have a gut."
Her comments about heading back to the gym and eventually losing her "thicc" body label comes a year after the Fenty empress opened up to The Cut about how it's been hard to learn what clothing flatters her ever-changing body type.
"I actually have had the pleasure of a fluctuating body type, where one day I can literally fit into something that is bodycon, and then the next day—the next week—I need something oversize; I need a little crop here and a high-waist there to hide that part, you know?"
The "Love On The Brain" singer spends a significant amount of time in her closet every morning just thinking about what works for her body that morning.
Rihanna also spoke to British Vogue about how although fans see her as the queen of body-positivity, she needs to make an effort to surround herself with the most equally positive people so that she surrounds herself with good energy. Being in the entertainment industry since she was a teenager, she's felt the need to cling on to the great and loyal friends she's gained along the way.
"I'm very picky about friends. I don't like to open myself up to everyone, and so when you find people who are great and loyal, you don't want to let go of that. I've been out here on my own since I was a teenager, so these people become like your family."
The September 2018 issue of British Vogue featuring Rihanna on the cover is now available in newsstands worldwide.
