Janet Jackson thought she would never have a child. So now that the 52-year-old singer and dancer has son Eissa Al Mana, she feels incredibly lucky and happy.

The name Jackson is not unfamiliar in the world of music. Janet Jackson is the youngest child of the Jackson family and a sister to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

She began her entertainment career in the variety television series "The Jacksons" in 1976.

As one of the world’s most awarded artists, she has been cited as an inspiration among numerous performers.

The 52-year-old singer has amassed an extensive catalog, with singles such as "Nasty," "That’s the Way Love Goes," "Rhythm Nation," "Together Again," and "All for You." She has achieved many things in her professional life, but when it came to her most personal desires, Janet was told by doctors that she couldn't have children.

The pop icon made the confession in a Q&A alongside her brother Randy at Roosevelt High School last year.

She said:

“Every doctor told me it wasn’t possible.”

Amazingly things took a different turn; she now has a baby boy, Eissa who is already one year old. The baby boy was born from Janet's marriage to Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana, even though their union didn't last long.

Janet’s elder brother, Tito previously revealed that he thinks motherhood makes his sister "feel complete." Tito shared that his sister has been overwhelmingly happy about her son; she plays with him constantly and changes his diapers all by herself.

He said:

"She loves it. I asked her, 'How are you getting along with this?' and she said, 'Tito, I love it.' She just loves her baby. She's great at being a mother. It's really great. I guess it sort of makes her feel complete."

Her make-up artist Preston Meneses believes that Jackson is in "good spirits" despite her break up from her estranged husband Wissam Al Mana, and he gushed about the singer getting ready to release her energy through new music, which fans have been looking forward to for the past years. He said:

"I think the world is going to get something really special from her. She's really excited. We all are - a lot of us have been working together for years so when we come together, it's just like being with your family and when you work with your family, things just come easy and it's a wonderful experience."

Janet has been a prominent figure in pop culture for over 30 years.

The star holds the record for the most consecutive top 10 entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart by a female artist.
