The actress married to Dr. Vaughn Rasberry in July 2016, and two months later the couple welcomed their first son, Edward Aszard, into their lives. The adorable boy was kept out of the spotlight for the first year of his life, but Ali has been sharing more pics of him on Instagram as of lately.

In one of her most recent posts, Ali is seen holding little Edward on her lap, the boy only wearing some diapers, as she gets her hair done by her nurse mother, Sonia Ali. The heartwarming post shows a special moment in Tatyana’s life, bonding not only with her son but also with her mother through a simple daily life task.

Fans of the actress flocked her comment section to show their appreciation for the photo. One user wrote “This picture speaks so much volume! Love it so much! Beautiful,” another added, “That's what matters the simple things in life, beautiful,” and a third one said “Oh how I love this! It looks so much like those African American paintings: 3 generations, just beautiful!”

A few days weeks ago, Tatyana Ali honored the “Black Breastfeeding Week” by sharing a beautiful photo nursing little Edward while wearing nothing but a towel and sitting on a brown couch. She captioned it:

“The more we see ourselves in each other, the more courage it builds in us to trust our hearts and our bodies. Be kind to yourself. #blackbreastfeedingweek.”

In July, Ali revealed through a similar post that despite what people told her, she breastfed her son until he turned 2. Ali confessed that it was difficult to deal with people's criticism of her choice, but she knew it was the right thing to do for her and her son.

The 39-year-old beauty also stated that their doctors told the elderly women of her family that formula was best for their children because they didn’t have “enough milk.” And added:

“It’s well known that breastfeeding is absolutely the best choice if possible, for as long as possible. I encourage everyone who can breastfeed long term to do so. It’s so good for your baby. Aszi is hardly ever sick even when other people in the house are, including me.”

While she admitted she faced some difficulties with breastfeeding, as she had to pump in places like an airplane’s bathroom, Ali also stated she’s grateful for being able to create such a beautiful bond with her baby while feeding him.

She wrote:

“We women do what we have to do. Breastfeeding him has truly been one of the greatest experiences of my whole entire life. I love looking down and seeing him latched on, feeling his cheeks so close to my heart. I love giving him nourishment, giving him my life force and most of all comfort.”
