Miley Cyrus and Jimmy Fallon fascinated fans with their incredible duet
In an epic performance, Miley Cyrus dressed as Dolly Parton and Jimmy Fallon embodied Kenny Rogers with their nostalgic rendition of “Islands in the Stream.”
In October 2017, Cyrus appeared on every episode for a whole week of “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.” At the time, she was promoting her album, “Younger Now.”
During each episode, the country singer played games, did musical performances, and had interviews.
Fallon and Cyrus also performed together as duet partners on the October 4th episode of the show.
For their performance, Cyrus and Fallon paid tribute to two of the most iconic country singers in the industry, Parton – who is Cyrus’s godmother - and Rogers.
The pair recreated the two country legends’ iconic performance during the Grammy awards in 1983.
Not only did they sing the frequent duet partners’ famous song, “Islands in the Stream,” Cyrus and Fallon also decided to dress exactly like the two icons.
Soon enough, Cyrus emerged from the backstage wearing a shimmery black dress. Apart from looking bustier, she also had on a very high blonde wig to perfectly imitate her godmother’s appearance.
With their costumes, they looked every bit like the two country legends.
The crowd felt even more nostalgic since the set was designed to look very similar to the stage Parton and Rogers performed on.
With her career being constantly rocketed upwards, Cyrus barely has some time to spare for her family.
Although, previously, she was spotted in Los Angeles with her mother, Tish Cyrus, 51.
The mother and daughter were out shopping during their downtime.
With Tish looking as youthful as ever, people couldn’t help but say that 25-year-old Cyrus and her mother look like sisters.
Photos of Tish on her Instagram page seem to tell that the public might be on to something.
