Singer-songwriter Garth Brooks stopped his performance to get the full story behind the bride-to-be's sign.

In 2017, Brooks, 56, took to Facebook to share a video that was filmed from his show in Louisiana.

In the clip, the country legend, who was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011, can be seen approaching a bride-to-be named Shannon.

Along with her maid of honor, Shannon made the show at all costs. Her sign which caught the attention of Brooks actually reads, “I postponed my wedding to be here.”

“Alright, you gotta explain this to me because I hope this sign is not true,” Brooks told her.

He continued, “And your maid of honor has a sign that says, ‘You need a restraining order from her!'”

Brooks got a good laugh at both signs. He then performed a song, “She’s Every Woman," dedicated to Shannon and her absent fiancé, Ken.

However, he halted his performance yet again when the woman held up another sign that read, “You are my hall pass.”

The country icon can be seen in the video laughing on stage.

When Brooks regained his composure, he announced, “I’m singing the wrong song for you then, honey.”

He immediately broke into a much sexier song, “That Summer,” which sent Shannon into the spotlight.

This isn't the first time that Brooks stopped his performance after he noticed a fan in the crowd holding up a sign.

In 2016, he asked everyone in the stadium to sing "Happy Birthday" to an adoring fan named Sophie, who had a sign that referenced her birthday.

Brooks's combination of rock and roll elements into the country genre has gained him immense popularity.

Having sold more than 170 million records, the award winner is one of the world's best-selling artists of all time.

On October 21, 2012, Brooks was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
