Kardashian babies Chicago, Stormi & True subjected to colorism after first pic together emerges
Kim Kardashian recently took to Instagram to post a very special photo of her youngest daughter, Chicago, with her cousins True and Stormi. The three babies were born a few months apart from each other, and while most people found the pic adorable, others had a lot to say about the girls’ skin color.
Kim and Khloé Kardashian, and their youngest sister Kylie Jenner became mothers earlier this year. While Kim had baby Chicago through a surrogate and she’s her third child, Khloé and Kylie are both first-time moms. Kylie had Stormi in February, and Khloé had True in April.
On Friday, Kim took to Instagram to share an adorable picture of three girls, causing a collective meltdown over social media.
In the pic, baby True, 5-months-old, is in the center wearing a red dress with a flower print sitting on her baby chair; at her right, 8-months-old Chicago is rocking a black t-shirt and holding a “My Little Pony” stuffed toy, and Stormi, 7-months-old, is donning a pink onesie and Nike shoes.
“The Triplets,” Kim captioned the picture.
Fans of the Kardashians immediately flocked her comment section, and while most people had only positive things to say about the cuteness of the babies and the photo, others started to make unpleasant remarks about True’s skin color.
The daughter of Khloé and NBA player Tristan Thompson has become the object of some distasteful comments about how she’s “too dark” in comparison with her cousins, and what a “pity” it is that she has her father’s skin color.
User @fashionelly_diamonds wrote:
“Oh my CUTENESS #chicago and #stormi are so adorable, and their skin tone is magnificent. But irony has it that yet again another #kardashian here #True is not that cute.”
While @luxuricases added:
“True looks black, Chicago and Stormi are the cutest mixed looking kids.”
And @deweesey23 said:
“I hate that True is so dark, the other true are a nice mix…she’s a cute kid just too dark.”
People also came to defend the babies, calling out the haters and trolls for their “disgusting” behavior, hating on a baby girl that has done nothing to deserve all those bad comments.
One user wrote “Wtf are these comments you're judging the skin color of a five-month-old? People are weird lmao,” and @danavann added:
“They all will be Strong Black Woman you best believe! The grandmothers and Aunties will show them the way. Their mothers will do all they can, but they cannot equip them for the ignorance of this World! #blackgirlmagic.”
A few days ago, Kim shared another beautiful picture of Chicago and True hanging out together, and Khloé, on the other hand, has been busy teaching her little girl how to swim and going on vacations with her small family.
The 34-year-old Good American designer hasn’t addressed the horrible comments about her daughter, which is probably for the best if she doesn’t want to give the haters precisely what they want.
