INGREDIENTS
Juice of one lemon
A few tablespoons baking soda
2 tablespoons hydrogen peroxide

METHOD
Mix lemon juice, baking soda, and the hydrogen peroxide in a bowl until it forms a thick paste. Put the mixture in a jar or cut open the back of a toothpaste tube.

Remove the toothpaste and rinse the tube before filling it with the homemade paste. Secure the end with a clip and use like you would regular toothpaste.
Note: Hydrogen peroxide may increase tooth sensitivity, so it is not suitable for long-term use or for people who already have sensitive teeth.
AN ALTERNATIVE RECIPE
3 tablespoons coconut oil
1 1/2 tablespoons baking soda
25-30 drops Organic food grade peppermint essential oil (Or anything else you’d prefer. Anise, Spearmint.
METHOD
Mix the baking soda and coconut oil until it forms a smooth paste, and add a few drops for peppermint oil for a refreshing scent.
Place the mixture in a glass jar and scoop out a little bit onto your toothbrush. Or, just dip your toothbrush in the mixture.
OTHER HEALTH TIPS
In conjunction with these recipes, don't forget to follow basic oral hygiene such as flossing regularly to reduce tooth yellowing.
It's advised to brush your teeth at least twice a day, and use floss to get into the hard-to-reach places around the gums and the backs of the teeth.
While brushing removes build-up from the teeth surface, flossing will remove plaque and other particles between the teeth.
