Meghan Markle's nephew cast in new MTV reality show 'The Royal World'

Meghan Markle's nephew who didn't watch her royal wedding has been cast as a regular guy with a royal aunt in a new reality show. Though he's kept a low profile, the reality star has a business inspired by Meghan.

Another relative of Meghan Markle is set to make waves via the royal route. According to reports, Meghan’s nephew, Tyler Dooley has just landed a television role in MTV International’s new show, “The Royal World.”

Tyler, who the show describes as not a royal but “just your average guy” is the step-son of Meghan’s former step-brother, Thomas Markle, Jr. Unlike his other relatives, Tyler never badmouthed Meghan and didn’t even watch the royal wedding though he was in London at the time. He revealed this in a trailer for his new show saying, “I’m sorry Meghan, I didn’t [watch].” He added,

“Honestly, with the controversy that’s happening in my family all I wanted to do was show my support.”

Though Tyler never tried to use Meghan’s popularity to draw attention to himself, he did find inspiration from his “aunty Meghan” for his cannabis business. He runs a marijuana dispensary in Oregon called “Royally Grown.” He even named one of his marijuana strains after the duchess calling it “Meghan Sparkle” and described it as “extremely potent” and “unique and individual.” The American actor runs his business with his mother, Tracy Dooley, his father’s ex-wife.

Tyler’s new show is an unscripted series with a cast of English aristocrats who gather for one summer in the English countryside and live like monarchs while cameras roll and document their lifestyle. Tyler is the only American to be featured in the show and was specifically hired to play the regular guy who has a royal aunt.

The reality series also includes “poshologist” Archie Manners, Triple Baroness Jessica Heydel, Adeniyi Obafemi Olopade, Count Michael Zadie Campbell and his brother, Count Dimitri ‘Dima’ Ziadie Campbell.

Lady Camilla Beresford, Zara Zoffany Farida Sassoon-Munns, Daniel MacLaurin, Sienna Rose Myson and, Marquess Maria Gabriella Diana, the daughter of an Italian nobleman will also be featured.

While Tyler made it a point to keep silent about his aunt, his father, at one point, joined his sister Samantha Markle in bashing Meghan. In August, Thomas Jr. said fame changed Meghan which resulted in a rift between her and their father. He slammed her for cutting ties with Thomas Sr. after becoming famous. He also questioned why the Markle family wasn’t welcomed to the royal fold the way the Middletons were.

Thomas Jr.’s comments seem to echo his sister Samantha’s. The outspoken half-sister has repeatedly accused Meghan of unfairly shutting out their father. However, after everything that’s said in done, she’s now currently in London trying to make amends with Meghan. She appeared on Jeremy Vine apologizing for the past. She dropped by Kensington Palace unannounced hoping to speak to Meghan but was denied. Instead, she handed a letter for Meghan to the palace guard. She’s hoping Meghan would read her letter and see her remorse and eventually find it in her heart to forgive her.

Meghan, however, has since been silent this whole time, busy attending to her royal duties.
