Byrne and Bianca attempted to cross the bridge in a car but they were knocked into the water. She managed to swim to shore but he was swept away.

The late groom's body was found this Saturday, October 13, 2018, and the news was shared by Byrne's family, who asked everyone to keep them in their prayers.

A WHOLE WEEK WORTH OF EFFORT

The grieving family also took the opportunity to thank state Reps. Niki Tsongas and Kate Hogan, Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, the Red Cross and the U.S. Embassy for helping in the search.

According to Nick Gibson, Byrne's cousin, his death came as a shock because he was happy and had just gotten married to the love of his life when the tragedy took place.

A TERRIBLE LOSS

30-year-old Byrne will forever be remembered by his family and friends for his 'helpful and caring demeanor, his ability to make friends in any setting and his love for his wife.'

As reported by Costa Rica's National Meteorological Insitute, the country's western coast received around 6 inches of rain on Thursday and another 2 to 3 inches were expected on Friday.

ANOTHER VICTIM

Unfortunately, Byrne wasn't the only one losing his life to floodwaters; recently, Kaiden Lee Welch, a 14-month-old boy, died after being swept away in New Salem, North Carolina.

His mother, Dazia Lee, was on her way to Wadesboro with her son when her car was hit by the strong waters and thrown across a field into a tree. She managed to get out of the vehicle and grab her son from his car seat.

Sadly, she couldn't hold onto Kaiden and the boy got lost in the water. His body was found the next day by divers, wedged between the car's bumper and the tree.
