Viral rapper Yella Beezy rushed to the hospital after reportedly being shot multiple times
Rapper Yella Breezy has been shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting and is now recovering in the hospital.
According to reports, Yella Breezy, aka, Deandre Conway, was driving along the State Highway 121 Bypass in Lewisville at around 3:30 am on October 14 when a vehicle pulled up next to him and shot at him more than a dozen times. Conway was hit three times and taken to the hospital immediately. He was reportedly in stable condition when detectives tried to reach him.
We can now confirm that rapper Yella Beezy -- whose "That's On Me" single has become one of the biggest songs of the year and one of the biggest rap hits ever out of Dallas -- was hospitalized after being shot last night.— Central Track (@Central_Track) October 14, 2018

The motive for the shooting has yet to be determined and no suspects have been detained. There are speculations, however, that Conway’s recent mishap could be connected to the death of comedian Roylee Pate who was shot dead earlier this month. Conway and Pate reportedly don’t see eye to eye.
Well-wishes overflowed on Instagram following Conway’s confinement in the hospital. Trae Tha Truth referred to the shooting when he wrote,
“Damn.... Prayers Up... Bad News Coming From Every Direction The Last 24hours. Pull Through @yellabeezy214 #Texas."
Conway surged into the limelight after he opened for Jay-Z and Beyonce’s “On The Round II” tour in Arlington last month. This paved the way for his track, “That’s On Me” to zoom in to the number one spot on mainstream rap / R & B radio, a year since its release.
Originally an unsigned Dallas rapper, he now has a deal with Hitco, an indie company led by veteran L.A. Reid who was relieved as chairman and CEO of Epic Records due to sexual harassment allegations.
Breezy’s shooting reminds us of another rapper who wasn’t so lucky when he was shot and killed while shopping for motorcycles. 20-year-old XXXTentacion was gunned down by unidentified suspects in June while he was leaving a motorcycle dealer shop in South Beach, Florida. Police believed the rapper was a victim of robbery though he’s been known to have had a few ongoing feuds. His Louis Vuitton bag was reportedly taken from him by the two suspects, both of whom were black and wearing hoodies. XXXTentacion was pronounced dead at the hospital. Shortly after, one of the suspects in the rapper's death was arrested and charged with one count of murder in the first degree. Two more are reportedly at large.
