Claire Wills, a hard-working mother has been sharing her incredible weight loss journey on Instagram and has become an inspiration for many women after losing 147 pounds in three years.
Claire, who has a 4-year-old son, went from being unable to even stand up without getting tired to enjoying running for hours and also training to join a marathon.
The 30-year-old has lost a staggering weight of 147 pounds since she first started her new eating plan, which, unlike many other dieting programs, doesn’t contain miracle shakes or appetite suppressing lollipops.
Instead, Claire replaced all of the greasy and junk food with homemade meals, and her sweet snacks with fruits and other healthy snacks. She also discovered a hidden love for exercise and combining the two plus the weekly reunions at her local Slimming World; she has gone through an incredible transformation.
Wills is now working on her Access to Health and Social Care Professions qualification and was accepted to The University of Wolverhampton to do her Nursing Degree earlier this year.
A MENTAL AND PHYSICAL TRANSFORMATION
She was in the top 10 finalists of Slimming World’s Woman of the Year 2017 competition, where she met soap opera actor Adam Thomas, better known for his role in the ITV soap opera, “Emmerdale.” The man was impressed by Claire’s weight loss.
“I couldn’t believe the change in Claire, she looks incredible and has achieved so much,” he told Halesowen News. “It’s really humbling to meet someone who has had the courage to turn their life around and do something positive.”
Wills, on the other hand, explained her struggles with losing weight saying:
“Before I found Slimming World, losing weight always seemed such a struggle. If I wasn’t feeling hungry or deprived, it was the mental battles – like feeling as though I was missing out because I couldn’t socialize with my friends, go for out for a meal or do things with my family.”
“Losing weight has encouraged me to think about how active I am too, so I joined my local gym, and I go two or three times a week. I also enjoy running, and I now run 5k up to three times a week. Slimming World has completely changed my life.”
Claire continues encouraging women all around the world to take care of themselves and their figure, and she’s continually sharing her meals and exercise plans, as well as empowering messages on her Instagram account.
ANOTHER SLIMMING WORLD SUPERSTAR
Like Claire, many other women in the UK have gone through amazing transformations thanks to this program. One of them is Jodie Rigby-Mee, 32, who decided to lose weight after being titled as the “fat friend” on a summer girls’ trip.
She dropped 85 pounds in two years, and her new figure boosted her confidence enough for her to apply to her dream job as an air hostess. She told the Daily Mail that:
“I was able to pursue a career as cabin crew, including moving to Dubai for five years and becoming a safety trainer teaching people how to put out fires, jump down slides and float on life-rafts, which I'd never have been able to do at my heaviest.”
She was also able to marry her husband in a wedding dress three sizes smaller than her original size, take part in a bikini photo shoot for a magazine, and have an uncomplicated and healthy pregnancy.
Four years ago, after returning home from Dubai, she decided to open her Slimming World group and was named Top Target Consultant 2017. “It's the most rewarding job I could ask for - I love seeing people reach a goal because I know exactly what that feels like,” she stated.
