Rosie O’Donnell’s fiancée flaunts massive diamond ring amid their engagement news

On Monday, actress and comedienne Rosie O’Donnell confirmed the news that she was engaged to fiancée Elizabeth Rooney. Hours after the news broke Rooney shared a picture that sealed the announcement.

On Instagram, the policewoman posted an image showing off her engagement ring. The gem is quite massive.

On social media, Elizabeth Rooney, 33, shared a photo of her emerald-cut diamond ring. The image revealed that the gem was surrounded by diamonds and set on a silver band.

In her hand, the policewoman held a drink and her caption made it clear that she had, indeed, said “Y E S.” Rosie O’Donnell, 56, officially confirmed their engagement on Monday night.

However, their wedding date might still be far off. O’Donnell said:

“This is a long time in the future. We both decided that that would be best.”

The couple went public with their relationship in November 2017. The pair has been having a long-distance relationship with Rooney staying in Boston and the actress living in New York.

Despite the distance, O’Donnell shared that their relationship has “been great.” She described her fiancée as “a wonderful woman” and praised her for being an Army veteran and an undefeated boxer during her time of service.

The star added:

“She’s very much an equal, she’s very much her own person and loves what she does. She’s a pretty unbelievable young woman.”

O’Donnell joked about their age difference sharing that people always mistook Rooney for her daughter Chelsea. Before her relationship their relationship began, the comedienne was married to Michelle Rounds, 46, who died of apparent suicide in September 2017.

They had one daughter, Dakota, 5. O’Donnell also has four other children a son Parker, 23, another son Blake, 18, a daughter Vivienne, 15, and her estranged daughter Chelsea, 21. The four children were with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter-O’Donnell.

Rooney is part of the mounted police force which patrols on horseback in Brewster, Massachusetts. She frequently shares pictures of herself in uniform or wearing a bulletproof vest.

The policewoman is a UFC fan and a lover of animals.
