Sean and Catherine Lowe appeared in "The Bachelor's" 17th season in 2013. Their second son, Isaiah is only five months old. According to Shared, he was hospitalized last Thursday after a bad cough.

Catherine took to Instagram to garner support from her followers. In the photo, she is holding something near her son's face as she leans over the hospital bed.

She captioned the post:

"Long story short- we took our little dude to the pediatrician yesterday for a bad cough he developed and ended up in the pediatric ICU. We’re still here and probably will be for a couple more days. Isaiah’s got bronchiolitis and his little body is having a tough time getting enough oxygen."

Catherine commended the hospital staff for how they handled their role:

"He’s not having the best time but the doctors and nurses have been great and we’re just super thankful we took him to the doctor when we did. We’re confident he’ll be just fine but prayers are always welcome."

Bronchiolitis typically infects toddlers and infants. It is usually not fatal, however. The illness leads to bronchioles or inflammation of the lungs and breathing difficulties for patients.

Sean also shared the same post and caption. On Saturday, Catherine gave a positive update about Isaiah. Throughout the ordeal, supporters sent lots of prayers their way.

"Holding my little one so so tight. Thank you for all your prayers and sweet comments. I think they’re working."

Sean was actually the third-place finalist on "The Bachelorette" in 2012 before starring in "The Bachelor" a year later in 2013.
