Evelyn Lozada responds to rumors that Usher is dating her daughter Shaniece Hairston
After some pics taken at Diddy’s birthday party suggested that Usher and Shaniece Hairston were dating, the young woman’s mother, Evelyn Lozada, cleared up the rumors for once and for all.
The “Basketball Wives” star didn’t spare any time in slamming down the rumors about her 25-year-old daughter being Usher’s new girlfriend. As she took a screenshot of the article shared by The Jasmine Brand and published it on her Instagram stories, labeling the news as “Lies!” and “Fake News.”

The rumor first started when Shaniece and Usher were photographed sharing the same car with another friend while leaving Diddy’s birthday party. Usher ended his 10-year-marriage with Grace Miguel a few months ago, so fans didn’t think it was farfetched to believe the singer was already moving forward with a much younger beau.
Lozada told Hollywood Life in a statement that the situation was just miss constructed by the media. “Towards the end of the night when it was time to take the party to the after party, everybody was leaving at the same time. Shaniece knows Puffy’s son, they’ve been friends since they’re kids,” she said.
And continued:
“Everybody left the party, and people jumped in each other's cars and went to the after party at Puff’s. Everyone was just hanging out. Shaniece doesn’t even know Usher. Everybody went their separate ways after.”
Hairston, like her mom, first came into the spotlight by appearing on “Basketball Wives” and on Lozada’s OWN’s reality show “Livin’ Lozada.” The young woman also has a career in the modeling world and is signed to Wilhemina Models, one of the most prestigious agencies in the country.
Usher, on the other hand, is still facing backlash for his herpes case. And according to Bossip, the “Yeah!” singer recently requested a gag order for the trial, claiming that as a public figure, some of the details that could leak from the case can cause harm to his career.
He also deemed the details of the case as “sensitive and potentially embarrassing.”
