Vandals deface Jennifer Lopez's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Police are investigating the vandalism of Jennifer Lopez's Hollywood Walk of Fame star after it got spray painted with symbols of unknown meaning,

Since it's inception, over 2,600 celebrities stars got added to the 15-block stretch of downtown Hollywood that comprises the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

After the defamation of several celebrities’ stars the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the Walk of Fame, decided to install surveillance cameras in hopes of deterring vandals as these stars are expensive to fix and maintain.

This year marked several celebrities’ stars vandalized, with the latest being Jennifer Lopez. On November 20, what appears to be black paint, got sprayed across the Lopez’s star in what seems to be an incomplete infinity symbol.

The significance, or if it even has one remain unclear, police took a vandalism report and will investigate the incident. The pop star got ranked as the sixth highest paid woman in music by Forbes this year and unveiled her star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2013.

With her newly vandalized star, she

the ranks of several other celebrities who had their stars defaced this year. In September Bill Cosby’s star got vandalized for the second time in four years when someone spray-painted the words ‘Serial Rapist’ across the star.

Two months prior in July, a man smashed President Trump’s star in pieces with a pickaxe, the latest act of vandalism to Trump’s star, preceded by incidents where it got splattered with paint and covered in stickers, while someone even built a small wall around it.

Whether another vandal got his facts wrong is unclear, but in June, the star of a talk-radio host named Michael Jackson got spray painted red.

As expected, Jennifer Lopez turned heads when she arrived with boyfriend Alex Rodriguez at the VMA Awards in August this year.

During the event, Jennifer performed what got said to be the best performance of the night as she powered through a high tempo medley of some of her best hits, including ‘On the Floor,’ ‘Waiting for Tonight,’ ‘I Ain’t Your Mama,’ ‘Dance Again,’ and a few other songs.

Jennifer wore an off-the-shoulder figure-hugging silver gown with a high leg slit that showcased her beautiful legs. She kept her long blond hair loose and accessorized with matching silver platform heels, bracelets, and a small clutch.

She also won the Best Collaboration Award and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and took the time to thank her boyfriend Alex for being in her life.
