Meghan McCain pays an emotional tribute to her late father on his 'favorite holiday'
Meghan McCain is still dealing with the loss of her dear father and war hero John McCain. This Thanksgiving was particularly hard for her.
On Thursday, "The View" co-host had to spend her first Thanksgiving without her father, which left her even sadder.
Meghan took to her Instagram account to share a series of photos of McCain on previous Thanksgivings, where he can be seen cooking several turkeys in a can.

A FAMILY MAN
According to the 34-year-old, her father loved Thanksgiving and it was his favorite holiday, not only because the family would get together but because he could get his hands dirty.
Cindy McCain, the late senator's wife, claimed that he handled the hard work of cooking the turkeys quite well, no matter how many needed to be prepared.
FIRST HOLIDAY WITHOUT HIM
The widow said that her husband had his own way of handling the food and that he enjoyed doing it his own way. He was never a man who would ask for something to be done if he could do it himself.
With so many sweet memories, it's no wonder the McCain family is still grieving his loss, especially Meghan, who used to speak to her father several times a day.
"Today is your favorite holiday. Happy Thanksgiving Dad, wherever you are. I miss you terribly. And to everyone else who this holiday is hard for - you are not alone, I am thinking of all of you."

A VERY RESPECT CHARACTER
It's been three months since McCain passed away after a fierce battle with glioblastoma, a rare and particularly aggressive form of brain cancer.
Although he had several opponents in politics, he also had their respect, and that same respect came to light when Barack Obama and George W. Bush were asked to deliver a eulogy at his funeral service.
