Serena Williams takes the runway by storm in tight white mini dress at Beautycon Pop

She’s a tennis icon, an Olympian, an entrepreneur, a wife (to Alexis Ohanian) and a mother (to Olympia). Now Serena Williams has claimed the runway, adding model to her many caps.

The 37-year-old athlete made quite the statement recently when she sashayed on the catwalk at the Beautycon Pop in LA. The mother-of-one modeled a white dress from her clothing line, Serena and she beamed and appeared to be having fun playing dress up.

Serena looked curvaceous in a figure-hugging white mini geo print dress which she matched with Nike sneakers in the shade of black and neon pink. She capped the look with a tiny brown faux fur fanny pack strapped to her hips.

Serena’s hair was braided in front with the rest of it falling in loose curls beyond her shoulders. Her glow was evident as she highlighted her features with a shiny blush, some eyeliner, and pink lip gloss.

The 37-year-old later took the moment to snap selfies in front of a wall with a Venus display. She experimented with several playful expressions proving there’s still a child in her.

Serena launched her clothing line six months ago via an Instagram account. This was a response to her passion for fashion design which was strengthened by a course she took back in 1999 at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She began with 13 pieces exclusively sold online at SerenaWilliams.com where she described the collection as “inspired by femininity and strength.”

Serena is pretty excited about being able to design her own clothes and even providing some of them to her good friend Meghan Markle. However, she reveals, she is more careful when sending clothes to the new royal.

“We don’t [send her the whole line] because some of that stuff we know is like, OK, maybe she wouldn’t be looking at the color-block pants, because I don’t know if it’s appropriate,” she tells People magazine during the recent pop-up show.

“But years ago, I would have, you know? But now, I have to really think about it.”

Serena and Meghan’s friendship goes way back. In fact, the tennis superstar is one of the few friends of Meghan who were invited to the royal wedding in May. Since Meghan became the Duchess of Sussex, Serena says she’s still regularly in touch with her friend. In an interview after the US Open, she told reporters,

“We have known each other for a long time, but we really are relying on each other a lot recently.”

Serena is reportedly one of the few friends Meghan has been keeping contact with since moving into her new world. The two have a lot in common including countless controversies that surround them. They’ve also been supportive of each other’s endeavors. Meghan watched Serena at Wimbledon while the latter has also been spotted accompanying Meghan to a polo match in support of Prince Harry.
