Barron Trump appears publicly at Christmas reception and takes photos with a soccer hero
The 12-year-old son of Melania and President Trump, Barron is generally out of the public eye, but on Sunday night he was eager to attend the White House Christmas Party.
Special guests for the evening included the legendary soccer player Wayne Rooney with his wife and their children.
Being a huge soccer fan himself, Barron couldn’t wait to meet the English soccer hero and couldn’t wipe the smile off his face the whole evening.
Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen with their four sons arrived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue after a personal invitation from Donald Trump where they were joined by Ivanka and Vanessa Trump, with her children for the party.

After their arrival, Wayne and his wife Coleen, together with their sons, 9-year-old Kai, 5-year-old Klay, 2-year-old Kit, and little nine-month-old Cass got treated to a tour of Trump’s private quarters, with the oval office remaining off limits.
The soccer legend moved to Washington D.C. with his family after he received a two and half year, $13million contract with DC United in July.
Wife Coleen has frequently posted pictures on the progress of settling into their new home over the last few months and was delighted at receiving an invitation to the Christmas party; a source described what getting the invite was like, for the Rooney’s and said:
“It wasn't political. For them, this was a chance to go inside one of the most iconic buildings in the world and give their children this experience of being there for the Christmas party, which is always spectacular. It's an extra special welcome to Washington for them. It's an experience none of them will ever forget.”
Known to be a huge soccer fan, Barron also got spotted on June 17, dressed in soccer clothing as he left with his parents en route to Camp David. Clearly an Arsenal ‘gooner’, which means he is a supporter of the London-based Arsenal Football Club soccer team, Barron wore all Arsenal apparel.
He wore shorts from the official 2016/2017 Arsenal Home Football Shorts collection, and goes for $30 and over. The socks were mostly red with a white band going around the calf section. Wearing all that fan gear and being such a supporter of the sport it makes one wonder whether Barron plays soccer himself.
He knows everything about the sport and even kicked a ball around during Easter. Even then he got spotted wearing the ‘Gunners red’ color of the Arsenal Football Club during the Easter Eggroll, with blue cleats.
Later on in the day, Barron received a signed black and red soccer ball from the D.C United soccer team, the same squad Wayne Rooney signed with, in July, after leaving Manchester United as record scorer.
Last month Barron got spotted leaving the White House with his parents as they made their way across the lawn to Marine One for a flight to Mar-a-Lago for Thanksgiving, the first time he has been seen in months.
Barron stayed out of the public eye and did not show up when his father pardoned the Thanksgiving turkey, or when the White House Christmas tree arrived. The youngster seems to make a habit of remaining under the radar.
