INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoons baking soda
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 egg yolks
1 egg white
2 tablespoons sour cream
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
HOW TO MAKE IT
In a bowl, mix the baking soda and all-purpose flour. Set it aside.
In a different bowl, mix the butter, sugar, eggs, and sour cream until smooth.
Add the flour mixture until combined.
Preheat the oven to 350° F.
On floured wax paper roll out the dough until it is one-eighth of an inch thick.
Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the rolled dough.
Place the stars in rows on a greased baking tray and put into the oven for 12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Allow cookies to cool before icing them with your preferred color and pattern.
MELANIA’S TRUMP TROUBLES
Not everything the First Lady does makes her husband as happy as these cookies do. Recently she angered him by watching television aboard Airforce One, the presidential airplane.
It seems that the act of her watching television is not what bothered him, but that he was upset about which channel she was watching.
Melania was watching CNN, the channel that President Trump has publicly discredited as a fake news outlet. He only endorses “Fox News” to be viewed on the aircraft.
A spokesperson for Melania told the press that Melania has the independence to watch whatever she likes.
MELANIA AND MICHELLE
Interviews with the current First Lady, Melania Trump, and the previous one, Michelle Obama, have been compared and many similarities have been found, especially in how they talk about their husbands.
Both first ladies initially rejected their current husbands’ romantic advances, making the men work for them.
Although Melania had a much fancier first date than Michelle, given that Trump was already a successful businessman when he met his current wife and Obama was a young attorney.
