Magic Johnson's son EJ praised for his style in Christmas photo with his whole family

EJ Johnson stole the attention with his fashion style on a family Christmas photo shared to his Instagram account.

Wherever he goes, EJ Johnson is considered a fashion icon by many and can easily steal the spotlight with his bold and daring outfits. The Johnson’s family Christmas photo was not an exception, as EJ outshined everyone with his style.

The pic, shared by EJ on Instagram, features his parents, Magic and Cookie, his little sister Elisa, and his elder brother Andre, who also included his wife Lisa and their two beautiful kids.

While the entire family chose black for their matching outfits, everyone had a different intake on what a festive outfit is, depending on their personality and style.

Magic and Andre went for the classic black shirt and matching dressing pants. Cookie wore a loose shirt and dark jeans, Elisa rocked a turtleneck and wide brim pants, and Lisa opted for a mini black dress.

EJ TURNS HEADS

EJ, on the other hand, stuck to his distinctive look and rocked a jacket with a plunging neckline, tight velvet pants, high heels and a lot of make-up, quickly stealing the show with his smile standing beside his parents.

“Merry Christmas #thejohnsons #teamthis,” the 25-year-old captioned the picture.

Fans filled EJ’s comment section with praises about his look and their best wishes for his family.

A YEAR TO OPEN UP ABOUT FAMILY AND ACCEPTANCE

This has been a fantastic year for EJ and his family.

He started co-hosting MTV’s TRL and has cemented his position as a genderfluid icon in the entertainment industry. His intake on fashion as a genderless industry has inspired thousands of young people, and he stands proud as he leads the genderfluid movement alongside many other LGBTQ+ icons.

Magic Johnson has also reaffirmed his support for EJ, despite the constant critics he gets for having a gay son that “dresses like a girl.”

The NBA legend, who has been an advocate for AIDS and HIV for years, is now also a role model for parents that struggle to accept their kids for who they are, as EJ confessed that it wasn’t easy to get his father’s approval at first.

Magic revealed on a CNN special with Lisa Ling about genderfluidity that seeing his son playing with dolls as a child was a pill hard to swallow. “I keep taking them away and trying to put something else on his hands. And about an hour or two later, I’d go back, and it’s back in his hands,” he recalled.

But even though he knew EJ was different from the beginning, that didn’t make the blow of discovering his son was gay any easier. Johnson admitted on the “Red Table Talk” with Jada Pinkett Smith, that once he came out to his dad, Magic had a hard time accepting the reality.

Eventually, he came around, and he's now one of EJ's biggest supporters. He told Ellen DeGeneres last year that:

"You’ve got to support your child because there’s so many people who try to discriminate against them. They need you to support them because if you don’t support them, who is going to support them? And love them.”
