It was a white Christmas for Gabrielle Union and her newborn daughter who were decked in white PJ’s in a Christmas photo the actress shared.

Both dressed in white, mother and baby looked cozy and content just resting on each other with their eyes closed as they cuddled in what appeared to be a couch.

Union made it known that her one-month-old daughter Kaavia with husband Dwyane Wade is the “blessed gift that keeps on giving” in her caption. She also used the opportunity to inspire others to hang on and not lose hope as she greeted her fans a Merry Christmas.

“Merry Christmas! To everyone feeling alone, scared, unsafe, unsure, without hope... hang on. Hang on. You are loved and you are not alone. Been there, hold on. Love and Light to all.”

AN UNFORGETTABLE CHRISTMAS

This is certainly Union’s best Christmas yet having welcomed Kaavia last month via surrogate after years of unsuccessfully trying to conceive a child. She would often refer to her as her “miracle baby” and with good reason. Union suffered eight miscarriages after going through the motions of IVF.

HOLIDAY ON BOARD

Now celebrating her first Christmas as a mother, Union made sure it was special. She took her daughter on a holiday in Miami on board a yacht. Kaavia even shared a sweet moment with her father lying on his lap while they were cruising.

SENTIMENTS OF A NEW MOM

Kaavia’s birth has changed Union’s life completely. More importantly, it taught her “to never give up” on her dreams. She said this much when she posted a photo of her little girl when she was weeks old. In her caption, she empowered others to overcome their feelings of pain and loneliness by knowing that they are loved.

Love is certainly the feeling that transcends everything else with Union becoming a mother.
