Rapper Future welcomes his fifth child

Future is now a father of five! The rapper and his fifth baby mama, Joie Chavis, confirmed the birth in separate Instagram posts.

Chavis took to Instagram on Christmas day with an adorable picture of her new son. Wearing a knitted onesie and beanie, the infant struck a reflective pose on his seat, against a wooden background. Chavis simply captioned the photo with the boy’s name, “Hendrix,” alongside an eagle emoji.

Hendrix is the second child for Chavis and the fifth for Future. The rapper’s other four children are born by four different women, including his former fiancée, singer Ciara, with whom he shares Future Jr.

Meanwhile, Chavis already has a seven-year-old daughter, Shai, with her ex, rapper Bow Wow. The model/entrepreneur shared a photo of Shai wearing a tiara and holding her little brother as they matched in white outfits.

The “Turn On the Lights” rapper confirmed his newest child’s birth on his Instagram story. He shared the same picture as Chavis and wrote across it:

“Hendrix. Born King my King.”

Chavis first went public with her pregnancy sometime in June but said nothing about the father of her child. There were speculations that it was Future because the two had been spotted together several times last year, but Chavis said nothing.

The situation was even more complicated as Chavis’ ex, Bow Wow once dated Future’s ex, Ciara, leading folks to believe that both rappers had some form of hidden vendetta.

The paternity of Chavis’ child was however confirmed in early November when Future was at her lavish baby shower and joined her in popping a balloon to reveal blue confetti that proved they were expecting a boy.

According to PEOPLE, the party featured many white balloons, fall foliage and an overall rustic aesthetic from the décor to the food, as well as a white neon sign that read, “Poppin’ Bottles!”

Chavis gushed over the event on Instagram, describing it as “perfect.”

Towards the end of the same month, however, Future got involved in another baby mama drama after another model, Eliza Reign, came forward to claim that she’s having his baby and that the rapper threatened her life.

Not much has been heard about the issue since then, but Future is apparently more concerned about his new son at the moment.
