It seems the controversy surrounding the release of a documentary maligning him is taking its toll on R. Kelly who reportedly suffered panic attacks as a result.

In the wake of sexual abuse allegations highlighted by the airing of the documentary “Surviving R. Kelly,” the singer was reportedly hospitalized due to panic attacks.

TMZ reports that days before the release of the six-part Lifetime docuseries’ premiere last week, Kelly started to feel the pressure and had doctors visiting him at home. It was after the show was aired that the pressure erupted. He suffered an attack so serious that he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Kelly.” Among them were Nick Canon, Chance the Rapper, Tank, B2K and Lady Gaga who vowed to remove their song, “Do What You Want” (With My Body) from streaming sites. She confessed she wrote it with Kelly during a dark time in her life.

MORE HEAT FROM HIS DAUGHTER

The tension may have grown worse for Kelly when his estranged daughter, Joann Kelly broke her silence last week and spoke up against him. She insinuated knowing about the “monster” her father is growing up.
