Nick Cannon steals hearts with photos of curly-haired daughter teaching her little brother
Nick Cannon is such a proud dad! The father-of-three shared a photo of his twin daughter Monroe, teaching his son from another woman, and his caption says it all.
Nick took to Instagram some days back to show off a special moment between two of his kids.
Monroe Cannon, his seven-year-old twin daughter with ex-wife Mariah Carey, was holding a digital tablet and pointing out something to one-year-old Golden, Nick’s son with his baby mama, Brittany Bell.
The Hollywood entertainer captioned the image:
“Big Sister teaching Little Brother! What it’s all about!! #Family”
It’s good to see Nick’s children getting along despite having different mothers. Last month, talk show host, Wendy Williams, came under fire after she made an insensitive distinction with Nick’s kids.
While asking the “Drumline” actor about his Christmas plans with his kids from two different women, Wendy referred to Golden as an “oops baby.”
At the time, Nick responded in mock horror, exclaiming, “the disrespect!” but he later used a video of the “genius” Golden reading to get back at Wendy.
Nick wrote:
“Got another Genius on my hands!!! The Golden Child! No oops over here @wendyshow LOL. My guy is brilliant! Reading at the age of 1!! #Genius.”
Brittany, a former beauty queen, followed suit some days later, sharing pictures from her maternity photo-shoot and declaring in the caption:
"The honor of bringing life on earth is definitely not an oops."
Golden was born on February 21, 2017, and for his birthday last year, Monroe and her twin brother Moroccan- called Rocky- were there to celebrate.
Nick also regularly shares photos and videos of himself hanging out with all three kids, emphasizing the unity that exists among them.
It’s no news that the 38-year-old seems to have the co-parenting thing on lockdown and in February last year, he told Us Weekly why it works out fine with Mariah.
The common denominator is we both want what’s best for our children,” said the TV host. “You put them first, and you step back and become selfless in making decisions, and it’s pretty easy.”
Nick and Mariah tied the knot in 2008 after the “Love Don't Cost a Thing” actor initially declined her offer for him to feature in her music video.
They welcomed their twins in 2011, but Nick filed for divorce three years later. Although their divorce was finalized in 2016 and both have since gone on to different partners, Nick continues to respect Mariah as the mother of his kids and says she can “do no wrong.”
