The Duggars share adorable childhood photos of twins John and Jana on their 29th birthday

It was twins John-David and Jana's 29th birthday over the weekend, and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar reminisced about their childhood.

The controversial family shared a "throwback photo on their Instagram account of the twins, and wrote in the caption:

"Happy 29th birthday to our first set of twins, John-David and Jana! It has been an absolute joy to be your parents for the past 29 years!"

They added that they "are so thankful" to the twins and the "deep love and commitment" the siblings have for Jesus Christ. Michelle added:

"We can’t wait to see what the next year will bring for your lives and love you both so very much!"

She tagged both Jana and John-David in the post. The adorable photo received more than 57,000 views in less than three days.

Jana, who recently joined Instagram, also wished her brother a blessed birthday and said she was "so grateful to God" for their bond:

"You have invested in my life and challenged me to be a better sister and friend. I love the many memories we’ve made together over the years from.... playing tag, building forts, doing music together, cooking in the kitchen, overseas mission trips, working on our local fire department, building or remodeling projects.... just doing life together."

She also wished her brother all the best with him and Abbie's future, and pray that this "new year will be the best one yet.

John David, on the other hand, didn't share any birthday message with his sister on the social media platform.

The couple shares a dual account that Abbie manages, and she wished her husband a blessed birthday, adding that he is "tender, kind, thoughtful and sweet."

Jana and John David are the eldest of their 19 siblings, but Jana is only one of the older women who is still unmarried.

A fan remarked that Jana joining Instagram must be due to an upcoming courtship announcement, to which her sister Jessa replied:

“Haha! That’s been merely coincidence for some. Definitely not a prerequisite. She’s not in a relationship.”
