Kelly Ripa reminisces about her childhood by showing off her frizzy blonde curls in a rare photo

Everyone loves Throwback Thursday, a chance to relive a memory or two. The talk show host takes us down memory lane to the 80s where she was rocking an eye-catching hairdo and a broad smile.

On Thursday, January 17, Kelly Ripa treated her two million plus followers on Instagram to an epic throwback picture of herself, proving that she has had awkward days, just like everyone else, but those days are now behind her.

The picture seemed to be from the 80s judging from her full head of frizzy blonde hair. Ripa, who had on blue eye makeup, was also wearing a big smile. She captioned the picture ‘#tbt #aqaunet'.

Fans quickly took a liking to Ripa's picture. So far, the photo has garnered 109,303 likes on Instagram.

A lot of her followers have commended her great sense of humor while others reminisced on the 80s hairspray Aqua Net with one commenting: "Sometimes I miss those aqua net days."

Another fan stated: ‘This is probably my all-time favorite pic of you! Lol! Xoxo.'

Through this week, it looks like Ripa has had a great time on Instagram. The co-host of 'Live with Kelly and Ryan' was lovey-dovey with her husband of 22 years, actor Mark Consuelos.

She uploaded a profile photo of Consuelos with a caption that included the fire and lips emoji, to which the Riverdale star replied: ‘Thanks, babe. That's my good side …'

Funny enough, Ripa retorted by claiming she did not know of any other side of her husband.

The couple is famous for spicing up their romance on Instagram. Their love story stretched even further when Ripa was to make an appearance on the CW series.

While filming the series in November 2018, Consuelos could not help but tease his wife about her new role. On one of his Instagram stories which Ripa appeared in, he quipped, ‘Bring side piece to work day,' to which his wife responded, ‘I'm usually against mistresses, but this time I'll make an exception.'

Ripa announced the news of her role as her husband's mistress through an Instagram post in November, calling it a family affair and boasting that her character is one she was born to play.

Interestingly, their son, Michael had also appeared in the series, playing his father's younger self in a flashback episode. Consuelos had mentioned to People that he was excited about Ripa coming on the show.

‘The Consuelos family one by one is going be on Riverdale. I love it!' he had stated.

Kelly and Mark have been married for 22 years, and they are blessed with three children: Michael, 21, Lola, 17 and Joaquin, 15.
